Associate professor Ching-Chi Hsu of Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Technology and his student, Po-Yuang Huang, were selected as the Best in Show winner for the 2015 ANSYS Hall of Fame Competition. This teacher-student team of two from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology became Taiwan’s first winner in the 2015 ANSYS Hall of Fame Competition. Associate professor Hsu and his student used ANSYS Workbench to model both in-tact and fractured spine-pelvis-femur complexes with different fixation devices to obtain biomechanical stress data of the human and synthetic components of this system.
